Στο Ηράκλειο της Κρήτης, η Δημοτική Επιχείρηση Ύδρευσης Αποχέτευσης Ηράκλειου σε συνεργασία με το Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης και τον Οργανισμό Ανάπτυξης Κρήτης υλοποίησε ένα ολοκληρωμένο σύστημα ευφυούς διαχείρισης του δικτύου ύδρευσης της Παλιάς Πόλης του Ηρακλείου, το οποίο μέσω σύγχρονων τεχνολογιών συλλογής και διαχείρισης δεδομένων, με βάση το διαδίκτυο των πραγμάτων (Internet of Things), ανιχνεύει διαρροές και αλληλοεπιδρά με τις βασικές παραμέτρους του δικτύου.

Smart Leak detection network, in the water supply network of Heraklion, based on IoT technology and Knowledge (SmartLIK)

In Heraklion, Crete, the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Heraklion has worked with the Technical University of Crete and the Development Agency of Crete to implement an integrated smart management system for the water supply network of the Old Town of Heraklion. This system utilizes modern data collection and management technologies based on the Internet of Things to detect leaks and interact with the main parameters of the network.
